#Issue 13 :* _Special Pre - Ramadan Series._ (No.1)

Rajab 24, 1441 ( March 19, 2020).

*What to do during the Break/Strike in preparation for Ramadan.*

It's no doubt that *Ramadan* is less than 35 days.

When Ramadan comes and meet you unprepared, that's not good for your spirituality. You need to start preparing on how to maximize the benefits and rewards enshrined in the Blessed Month of Ramadan.

Imam Hassan Al Basri said: _"Faith isn't by aspirations nor wishes_"

We all are on break or affected by the ongoing ASUU strike. Many of us are idle and enjoying the comfort of our homes. No Lectures, No Assignments to do, No deadlines to meet up with.
Practically, we have much time on our side to prepare for acts of worship we all set out to do in the month of Ramadan.

_It was reported that the companions of the prophet prepare for Ramadan for a period of Six months in yearnings and acts of worship._

The companions have a higher Rank in the sight of Allah but they are always bothered about intensifying their acts of worship. And we??

One important thing we need to start doing now is, spending much time in supplicating to Allah. Supplication is different from salat. By supplicating, you pour out your mind to Allah. You tell Him what you want and seek His blessings.
He is ever ready to listen to you.

*Allah said in Surah Al-Baqara, Verse 186:*

_"And when My servants ask you concerning Me, then surely I am very near; I answer the prayer of the suppliant when he calls on Me, so they should answer My call and believe in Me that they may walk in the right way."_

Don't wait for Ramadan to come before you start learning when to make those beautiful supplications. Utilize the following means;
👉🏽 After every salat.
👉🏽 Between the Adhan and Iqamah.
👉🏽 When it rains.
👉🏽 On breaking your fast.
👉🏽 During your tahajjud.
👉🏽 During the period of Duha.
👉🏽 After reciting the Qur'an.

You and I know very much that we need supplications in this trying times and one way to do that is by spending much time supplicating to Allah. *Your what's app status isn't your Sujood.* Inform others and ensure you do also.

Remember the saying of the Prophet (May Allah be pleased with him) which says:
" _When you remember Allah in the time of comfort, He remembers you in the time of difficulties_"
